Designer at Etsy, makes a good poached egg.

Amazing HD video of the Curiosity decent. I love the ‘fun fact’ at the end of the description:

The first mission to Mars, Mariner 4 in 1965, returned a total of 634 kb of data, including 22 photos

Melbourne group that I’m really loving, with a great album cover by the very talented Lauren Bamford.

case in point regarding Etsy values.

Joining Etsy

To add to what has already been an amazing year, I’m super excited to announce that I’ve joined the product design team at Etsy! After spending most of July working out of the Brooklyn office, I couldn’t be happier to be joining the team, and to be working along side such an awesome group of people.

I was fortunate to be in NY to hear the CEO Chad Dickerson talk at an All Hands meeting about Etsy, Etsy’s values and running a company by those values. While I don’t have a link to that talk, Chad gave a similar talk at the keynote of Etsy Success in Sydney earlier this year. Hearing Chad’s talk only helped to reaffirm my decision to join such a fantastic and forward thinking company, and really got me excited for not only the future of Etsy, but the future of what we – as an online global community – can make together.

For the time being I’ll be working remote from here in Melbourne, but will be relocating to NYC with my wife, and soon to be son or daughter, in the near future.

Exciting times ahead.
